Master Unju Lee graduated from Dankook University with a major in Korean Traditional Dance. Her journey in Korean Traditional Dance began in middle school, and she continued to excel in Hapkido and Taekwondo during high school, earning a 1st Dan black belt while in college. Upon immigrating to the USA, she further honed her skills under the guidance of Grandmaster Kwangil Bae.
In the year 2000, Master Lee collaborated with Grandmaster Bae to create a Taekwondo Poomsae fused with Korean instrumental music, which was featured at ESPN’s 2000 SHOW. She holds international certifications as a Poomsae referee and coach, with notable experience officiating at prestigious events such as the US Open, World President Cup, USAT National Championships, and AAU National Championships.
Master Lee’s contributions extend beyond competition; she formed the Korean Dance Team, combining Korean Dance with Taekwondo forms for cultural demonstrations at State Championships, aimed at promoting Korean culture within the community.
